Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the School of Biological Sciences (Ref.: 515071), to commence as soon as possible for two years, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.
Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Genetics, Molecular Biology or Marine Biology or a related field. They should have independent research abilities with a strong research interest, ambitious scientific goals, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently and cooperate with a team. Excellent communication and organization skills are also required.
The appointee will work under the supervision of Dr. Celia Schunter to study the molecular mechanisms underlying environmental change in marine fishes. Dr. Schunter’s team uses a multidisciplinary approach integrating field work and controlled aquarium experiments with molecular biology and computational biology/bioinformatics.
