We are actively recruiting new, research-active, Assistant Professor/Lecturers in Business and Management. This post is suited to a research active educator with a PhD (or near completion) in Organisational Behaviour, HRM or General Management (and not Accounting, Economics, Finance, Operations and Supply Chain, Marketing, MIS and Entrepreneurship from this hiring as these are subject to other active recruitment processes).

The ability to teach and effectively communicate to Management students with no prior experience of Business and Management (such as undergraduates from multiple disciplines), intermediate experience (such as our single honours Business and Management students and MSc  programmes in business) and advanced knowledge (PhD students), is a key requirement for this position. The Arts programme, where students are taking Business and Management as some modules amongst many is a key part of our student community, thus ability to engage such students in the joy, practicality and science of Business and Management are important.

Teaching in Business and Management covers a range of modules, which can be seen on our website under each of our programmes (https://www.maynoothuniversity.ie/school-business/our-courses). Teaching needs currently include undergraduate and postgraduate modules. These include individual modules in our Arts Business subjects, double honours degrees where Business and Management is one of the majors, a range of Business single honours degrees, a range of taught postgraduate Business and Management degrees, and our PhD programme.

The successful applicant(s) will have a proven record of teaching, research and publication, appropriate to career stage. The appointee(s) will be expected to build a strong research profile that supports the School of Business and University’s research strategy including affiliating to the Research Institutes, where appropriate and working with colleagues on national and international research. The appointee will be expected to sustain and conduct research, engage in scholarship of quality and substance and generate publications of international standard.

Salary

Lecturer (Post 1995*): € 55,951 – €88,601 per annum (7 points)

Assistant Lecturer (2022): € 35,598 – €62,211per annum (14 points)

Appointments will be made in accordance with public sector pay provisions.
