We are currently seeking a clinical academic with significant experience in prosthodontics to provide academic leadership and engage in teaching, research and curriculum development.

The successful candidate will lead the teaching of preclinical and clinical undergraduate prosthodontics and its integration with general clinical dental practice and teach into and supervise undergraduate clinics in the relevant subjects.

The appointee will also provide academic leadership within the discipline and will have the opportunity to progress an active research profile with a strategic research and innovation focus aligned to the overall strategies of the University.

Individuals who are able to demonstrate experience in providing high quality clinical dental care in private or public health dental practice settings, have a track record in research publication and output, prior undergraduate and postgraduate teaching experience, and who are able to demonstrate the ability to provide effective leadership in building people capability are strongly encouraged to apply.

This position is required for face-to-face and online teaching and as such remote work options will not be accommodated. Generous financial assistance is available to help you relocate to take up this leadership opportunity.

To be successful you will have:

  • A qualification relevant to the discipline and appropriate to the level being applied for
  • Full registration as a dentist or specialist prosthodontist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Demonstrated clinical experience relevant to prosthodontics after the completion of the primary dental qualification
  • Evidence of the delivery of high quality student centred learning and teaching
  • Ability to provide leadership in the discipline in the scholarship of teaching and/or research and/or professional activity
