At TU Dresden, Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Science, the Institute of Protestant Theology invites applications for the

Chair (W2) of Biblical Theology (Protestant)

to be filled by October 1, 2023.

You (m/f/x) will be responsible for teaching the subjects Old Testament and New Testament as part of the degree programs of the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Science and the teacher training programs. In research, your focus should be on the New Testament. We expect your participation in the academic self-administration of the university as well as your willingness for interdisciplinary cooperate with DRESDEN-concept partners and to actively participate in the research networks of Technische Universität Dresden.

We wish for a personality who is able to demonstrate research with international visibility and experience in international research institutions as well as in third-party funding and has an interest in historical, cultural and/or social science issues, in digital methods in the exegesis as well as in interdisciplinary cooperation. Your willingness and ability to conduct courses in English are expected. Applicants must fulfil the employment qualification requirements of § 58 of the Act on the Autonomy of Institutions of Higher Education in the Free State of Saxony (SächsHSFG).
