Applications are invited for a Specified Purpose post of a Programme Manager within UCD China Joint Colleges Office The post holder will ensure the delivery of a highly flexible, responsive and effective service to all stakeholders in support of UCD's three joint international colleges in China: these are BDIC - Beijing Dublin International College (approx. 1350 students), CDIC - Chang'an Dublin International College for Transportation (currently 940 students, rising to 1440 in next two years), GDIC - Guangzhou Dublin International College of Life Sciences & Technology (currently 350 students, rising to 720 students total in two years). This post provides an opportunity to be involved in exciting developments in UCD's provision of taught programmes at BDIC, CDIC and GDIC and to make a positive impact on student experience. This individual will report to the Director and his/her nominee and will be a key contributor to the delivery of a highly flexible, responsive and effective service to students, staff and other key stakeholders in a busy and dynamic environment. The post holder will be required to contribute to the development and operation of new and continuing programmes in BDIC, CDIC and GDIC, of its student facing operations and of its governance, processes and procedures. The post holder will also be required to develop and enhance internal and external communications and foster collaborative working relationships with all stakeholders in a professional and approachable manner. The post involves working in collaboration with the units within and external to the University to ensure the three colleges' programmes are effectively supported. Crucial to the success of the programme delivery will be proactive, timely and accurate communication with all internal and external stakeholders. The key areas of responsibility for the Programme Team involve planning and provision of: timely communication to and engagement with continuing, incoming and current students through various channels; curriculum and programme support; programme governance and assessment support; coordination of academic and pastoral support for students; promotion of academic programmes: student applications; registration and orientation support; internal programme communication; provision of management Information relating to programmes. The postholder will operate flexibly in an exciting and evolving environment and will be a senior member of the Team. The postholder will engage in a range of duties and responsibilities as outlined below to support the successful implementation and operation of the academic and student supports service delivery model of the new China Joint Colleges Office 95 Administrative Officer 1 2010 Salary Scale: €45,565 - €61775 per annum Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.
