Communications and Events Coordinator

We research how and why our population is changing and what this means for people, communities and governments. Join our team to help tell the world about society’s biggest population questions.

The Centre for Population Change (CPC) requires an experienced communications and events coordinator to support existing research and new output from the Connecting Generations (CG) project.

Your passion for event planning and communications will be crucial to the success of the role. Working under the direction of the Research Manager, the post holder will be responsible for the delivery of a diverse events, conference and seminar programme taking place locally, nationally and internationally.

You will have a proven record of delivering high quality events that are on time, in budget and meet their aims.

You will be comfortable with budgeting and accurately carrying out financial processing.

You will be an excellent written and verbal communicator, and will have experience writing content for corporate press releases and social media. You will enjoy finding new ways to present content to maximise audience engagement.

You will display exceptional organisational skills, diplomacy and an ability to manage multiple tasks to deadlines. You will be capable of prioritising your own workload to meet the demands of a busy, fluctuating environment, as well as supporting the work of others to achieve Centre aims.

You will be confident working alongside a variety of colleagues and building relationships.

You will have a skill level equivalent to achievement of HNC, A-Level, NVQ3 with proven work experience acquired in relevant roles and job-related training. You will be able to demonstrate a logical approach to your tasks.
