Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the Division of Public Health Laboratory Sciences (PHLS) of the School of Public Health (Ref.: 513802), to commence as soon as possible for one to two years, with the possibility of renewal.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in microbiology, bioinformatics, public health or a related discipline. They should be a self-motivated team player with critical thinking skills. Experience in next-generation sequencing (NGS) data analysis, molecular biology techniques, and/or handling microbial pathogens at biosafety level 2 (BSL2) would be an advantage. The appointee will join a multidisciplinary research team to study influenza, SARS-CoV-2 transmission and other respiratory viruses. Enquiries about the duties of the post should be sent to Dr. H.L.
