Director of Libraries
As a leading Catholic university globally, ACU is committed to student-centred education; research that is impactful, engaging, and responsive to society’s rapidly changing needs; and maintaining a strong, vibrant and sustainable university culture. The ACU Mission is focussed on the pursuit of knowledge, the dignity of the human person and the common good.
Leading the University’s nine libraries, including the library at the Rome campus, the Director of Libraries plays a critical role in ensuring the University’s success as a world-class, innovative, student-centred and research-led Catholic institution. The role reports directly to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Ethics and plays a key part in advising and making recommendations on matters of strategic importance and making a meaningful contribution to the University’s culture of research excellence.
With a contemporary vision for the role, the next Director will be strategic and outwardly focussed, ensuring that initiatives and technology within the library portfolio, including online services, are fully aligned with the University’s strategic direction and are informed by the latest technological and best practice approaches. To succeed in this senior leadership position, you will be an experienced senior librarian with a strong track record in strategic planning and implementation gained within a large and complex environment. Your capacity to manage key stakeholder relationships across the University and the ACU community will be exceptional.
