An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Compliance and Carbon Management Coordinator at SRUC’s Craibstone campus in Aberdeen. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that SRUC complies with all H&S legislation and carbon footprint reduction relating to the day to day management and maintenance of the facilities, estates and property by providing a professional advisory and audit function of all activities of Campus and Estates Services. The post holder will be the named Person responsible for delivering on our climate change objectives. 

The role will involve managing the processes and co-ordinating the planning of all compliance maintenance activities to ensure consistency and accuracy is achieved across all Campus and Estates Service activities, records and logs. This will extend into the day to day control of the Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) and Building Management Systems. The postholder will be required to oversee, audit and develop CES’s processes and procedures for the control of contractors to ensure compliance with CDM, Climate Change Targets and other relevant legislation.

The successful candidate should possess a Building Surveying, Engineering or Environmental qualification to at least HNC/HND standard. Relevant experience of climate change and meeting set targets for carbon reductions is essential along with experience of asset management and maintenance planning utilising a proprietary CAFM system.

Health and Safety awareness in the building, construction and engineering fields, specifically on maintenance and statutory compliance, is essential as is relevant experience of managing asbestos across a wide portfolio of property.

This is a full-time, permanent post. Placement on the salary scale will be dependent on qualifications and experience.
