THE POST – Administrative Assistant (Timetabling)

UWS Registry is seeking to recruit an experienced and highly organised Administrative Assistant to support University Registry functions.

You will work as part of a team within Registry, to provide a high level of service to students and staff across all campuses in relation to Registry functions (enrolment, exams, graduations, progression, student loans, timetabling and Transnational Education Partners etc). You will proactively work within a set of defined procedures to efficiently process information required for the effective handling of student records and progression of a student from first enrolment to after graduation. You will work through enquiries, identify problems and resolve them, work with your team and the Administrative Team Manager.

As part of a dynamic team with shared responsibilities listed in the Job Description you will have knowledge of and may provide some support to any of the Key Result Areas.

The successful candidate should have the following:

  • educated to HND level or have equivalent work experience of administration preferably in a Higher Education environment.
  • Respect for equality and diversity.
  • Be able to manage your own work with minimal supervision, prioritising the workload within set guidelines and using your initiative in day-to-day activities. Strict deadlines are required to be adhered to for many aspects of the work, although ad hoc requests and queries may take priority over planned tasks.
