Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor in Food Science and Technology (Ref:DST210908)

Job Description
Candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas: Food Science, Nutrition, Food Safety, Food Engineering are welcome. Candidates should have a PhD. Post-doctoral experience is highly recommended. Strong English language skill including speaking and writing is mandatory. Preference will be given to candidate who can undertake independent research leading to outstanding outcomes or have extensive food industry working experience.

Job Requirement
Candidates should have a PhD degree with extensive working experience in a related discipline. Successful candidates are expected to be committed to excellence in undergraduate or postgraduate teaching and research. Preference will be given to candidates who can undertake independent research leading to outstanding outcomes, including publications in high quality international-refereed journals. Academic rank will be determined in accordance with successful candidate’s experience and research accomplishments. 

The new faculty member is expected to teach some of the following courses: Food Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Drawing and AutoCAD Practice, Food Safety and Quality Management System, Nutrition, Food Security and Sustainability, Life style and Health, Fruits and Vegetable Science, Meat and Dairy Science, Food Product Development, Molecular Biology, Research Methods in Food Science, etc. 

Benefits
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience. Fringe benefits include housing allowance, leave and social insurance. 

Appointment Terms
Appointment to this position will initially be made on a fixed-term contract of two years.
