We are seeking to recruit pro-active and efficient administrators to join our Faculty Enterprise Team on a temporary basis from May 2022. The FET supports the Faculty’s educational enterprise programmes by providing an efficient and flexible administrative service across a number of functional administrative teams as the business demands.

What you will do:

Working closely with professional services and academic colleagues, your main duties will be to support the Pre-sessional courses. This will include:

  • Assisting with providing advice and guidance to applicants and other stakeholders for recruitment, selection and admissions processes
  • Applying criteria-based decisions to applications and validation of English language capabilities
  • Data entry processes for the communication of decisions and feedback to applicants and other stakeholders
  • Assisting with the planning and organisation of induction and enrolment
  • Assisting with the preparation of course registration and monitoring of student attendance
  • Processing extension and special considerations requests
  • Setting up assessment submission on on-line systems (Backboard, e-assignment)
  • Uploading marks to the student system
  • Administrative support for Boards of Examiners
  • Progressing students to their substantive programmes
  • Communicating and responding to student and staff enquiries by email, telephone and in-person
  • Assisting with the student academic appeals / complaints / academic integrity procedures

About you – you will

  • Be an excellent team player with broad relevant work experience and a proven ability to work proactively
  • Be well organised and adaptable, taking a positive approach in reviewing processes and practices
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a commitment to providing excellent customer service
  • Have excellent time management and organisational skills and the ability to manage your own workload effectively to meet business requirements
  • Be flexible and willing to undertake other duties as required by relevant colleagues
  • Have experience of processing and analysing data sets using multiple systems
  • Be a competent user of Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook
