Are you an experienced Lean Six Sigma practitioner who sees potential opportunities everywhere?

The University of Southampton is looking for an experienced Continuous Improvement Lead to join the team.  Based in iSolutions, the University's Technology department,  you will be responsible for designing processes focused on the needs of the customer.

You will need to have extensive experience in:

  • Gathering customer insights to identify what the customers need and value
  • Designing services around the needs of the customer and capabilities of the service providers
  • Identifying service improvement opportunities through active engagement with delivery teams and analysis of previous demand and service patterns
  • Process data analysis, identifying insights and building monitoring frameworks to demonstrate improved performance

You will also need to be:

  • A confident facilitator and experienced workshop designer
  • An effective change manager, able to build momentum and manage dissenting voices

The post holder will need to challenge existing ways of working, where they do not meet this customer centred approach, and work closely with service delivery teams to define new ways of working.

This isn’t a job for the faint hearted! iSolutions is one of the largest departments within the University’s Professional Services Group and we provide a broad and complex range of ICT services to support our diverse user community of more than 25,000 students and over 5,000 University staff.  We operate across several campuses in the Southampton and Winchester areas and are increasingly diversifying with multiple international collaborations.

The University of Southampton is a research-driven institution, home to some of the world’s leading minds, expanding our knowledge and passing it on to future generations. We would love you to join us and help change the world for the better.

The University of Southampton promotes a healthy work life balance with generous holiday allowance (30+ days), defined benefit pension, flexi-time and flexible working, generous parental leave and childcare provision. For more information on our benefits, please visit our human resources pages.
