We invite applications for the role of Senior Personal Tutor (maternity cover, 0.6 FTE). This role is a strategic high-profile role at Surrey Business School, which requires outstanding communication and leadership skills. The Senior Personal tutor works closely with students, professional services and academic staff across the school, faculty and university at times to ensure the best support for our business school students at all levels in the context of their academic performance and wellbeing.

The Senior Personal Tutor delivers personal tutor training, allocates personal tutees, analysis interaction data (SITs) and is involved in a variety of student and staff events throughout the academic year (e.g. Welcome Week, Wellbeing Week).

The individual ideally has extensive experience as a personal tutor/ coach/ student mentor or equivalent in Higher Education, Business School. A background in psychology, HR or leadership and an understanding of learning and teaching in a business school context including a learning and teaching qualification are desirable. The senior personal tutor reports directly into the Director of Learning and Teaching and is part of the Centre for Management Education.
