Teaching Fellow A/B – Family Interventions in Psychosis and Bipolar Disorder Module Lead – 0.5 WTE

To build on the expertise within the School of Health Sciences we are seeking to appoint a Teaching Fellow A or B (dependant on experience and/or qualifications) to co-lead our Family Interventions in Psychosis and Bipolar Disorder programme, run in conjunction with Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. This training is one of four courses commissioned nationally by Health Education England (HEE) to deliver the National Curriculum in Family Interventions for Psychosis & Bipolar Disorder. It is also accredited by the Association of Family Therapy at Foundation level. The two modules take an integrated approach to family interventions, drawing from the strengths of cognitive-behavioural and systemic perspectives, and has been running since 2010. The post holder would be the University Module Leader for the two modules within this programme, alongside the Co-Module Lead, based within the Trust.

The post holder must have a training in Family Interventions for Psychosis as well as a professional mental health qualification with appropriate professional registration and relevant experience/practice in adult mental health. 

The School of Health Sciences is located in a newly refurbished facility within the Surrey research Park. The nature of this programme means that you will be working in a hybrid manner, supported to deliver teaching online, in your choice of location (home or university setting), in addition you will be required to attend some meetings within the local trust. Depending on your experience of health education delivery, you will also be required to spend a portion of your time onsite within the School of Health sciences, Guildford. This will be negotiable, dependent on the learning and support needs of the successful candidate.
