Applications are invited for appointment as Principal Lecturer in the School of Nursing (Ref.: 513729), to commence as soon as possible, on a three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.
Applicants should possess a doctoral degree in Nursing, and be a holder of a valid Registered Nurse Practising Certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Hong Kong. They should have at least 15 years’ post-qualification clinical teaching experience in nursing programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels at tertiary institutions, and be competent in curriculum development.
The appointee will assume a key role in leading the School’s nursing education, clinical and simulation training and laboratory teaching programmes, and pursuing new strategic directions for further development of clinical education and academic partnerships. Experience in education research will be an advantage. Fluency in both English and Cantonese, and substantial mentoring experience are essential.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment on fixed terms will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary. Housing benefits will be provided as applicable.
