About the opportunity

Southern Cross University’s Faculty of Health is seeking two (2) outstanding Lecturers in Sport and Exercise Science. These positions will conduct innovative online and face to face teaching of undergraduate units within the Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science and Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology

Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Completed tertiary studies in  sport, exercise science or closely related area and professional accreditation with Exercise and Sports Science Australia or the Australian Strength and Conditioning Association
  • Experience with supervising and teaching students in an academic setting
  • A strong desire to teach students and support them throughout their placements
  • A solid network of sport and exercise science practitioners in SCU’s catchment areas
  • A program of research that you are leading in sport and exercise science

About you

You will be passionate about student teaching and supporting student learning and have a keen interest in  health research. More specifically, you will have:

  • Completed tertiary studies in  sport, exercise science or closely related area and professional accreditation with Exercise and Sports Science Australia or the Australian Strength and Conditioning Association
  • Experience with supervising and teaching students in an academic setting
  • A strong desire to teach students and support them throughout their placements
  • A solid network of sport and exercise science practitioners in SCU’s catchment areas
  • A program of research that you are leading in sport and exercise science

Salary and benefits

These positions are:

  • Full-time, continuing (permanent)
  • Located at either Coffs Harbour, Gold Coast or Lismore. Generous relocation support available
  • Academic Level B. The base salary ranges from $101,544- $120,179 per annum, plus 17% employers contribution to superannuation. The total remuneration package is up to $140,609.
