VIT University invites applications for the position of Studio Assistants (SA) for the Studios Courses in the School of Architecture (VSPARC).

We are looking for graduates (SA) who are interested in taking up this significant role of mentoring the students, and also offer their support to Studio Faculty.

Role:

Studio Assistant will play a valued and vital role in the process of conducting the Studios courses. They will have an effect on learners by motivating, advising, and inspiring them to achieve academic and personal success.

Responsibility:

Studio Assistant will oversee the general progress of students and strive towards nurturing a good studio culture which encourages an exchange of ideas. They will also assist Faculty in preparing for the Units with academic research, administration and documentation of student works. They are expected to be present (online or on-campus) during the class hours and participate in all discussions and develop resource material for the studios and courses.

Engagement:

Studio Assistant will need to spend approximately 22 hours per week for the full 15 weeks of the semester.

Remuneration:

will be the standard SA rates as per norms of VIT

Tenure:

Appointment of Teaching Assistant will be for a minimum period of one semester. Teaching Assistant must confirm their availability for the full duration of the semester.

Eligibility:

Individuals with Undergraduate or Postgraduate Degree in Architecture. Prior work professional / academic experience is not mandatory.
