The Role – Lecturer, ALEVB

The Accounting and Finance Discipline is seeking to appoint a teaching and research focused Lecturer in Finance (ALEVB) who is experienced in developing and delivering introductory and advanced Finance units at both the undergraduate and postgraduate level. The successful applicant will contribute significantly to the disciplines research profile by producing high-quality research and participating in research communities.

Applicants must have a PhD in Finance or related relevant discipline, with the ability to teach Financial Planning and/or introductory Economics subjects. The applicant must have a demonstrated ability to develop collaborations, secure external grants and engage with the accounting and finance profession.

The Role – Associate Professor, ALEVD

The Accounting and Finance Discipline is seeking to appoint a teaching and research focused Associate Professor in Finance (ALEVD). The successful applicant will be expected to lead efforts and devise a strategy to grow the School’s research endeavours in Finance and related fields and share good practice with industry and the professions. Reporting to the Associate Dean Discipline, the successful applicant will be instrumental in expanding the societal impact of the School, and further integrating discipline knowledge into the curricula and the School’s co-curricular activities.

Applicants must have a PhD in Finance or related relevant discipline, and be teaching and research active with a demonstrable track record of substantial external research funding, publications in top-tier international journals (ABDC A/A*) as well as having timely completion of supervised HDR students. Candidates will also need to demonstrate their strive for excellence, their growing reputation in the field as well as their innovative and inspiring scholarship approach. The successful applicants will have a flexible attitude and the ability to adapt to any circumstance, by consulting and liaising confidently with senior-level stakeholders. Demonstrable experience in liaising with external bodies, both nationally and internationally, ensuring compliance with numerous frameworks and policies is also highly desirable.

Benefits and Remuneration

These full-time, ongoing positions attract a salary of $149,267 – $164,111 p.a (ALEVD), or $102,253 - $120,814 p.a (ALEVB) plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
