Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the Department of Mechanical Engineering (Ref.: 512609), to commence on or before 31 July 2022 for up to three years.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Robotics, Mechatronic Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related fields. The position will be in a dynamic and multidisciplinary environment that requires exceptional communication and problem-solving skills. Appointee will have opportunities not only to explore practical knowledge in cutting-edge image-guided robotics, but also to learn advanced therapeutics/surgical treatment. Prior R&D experience in medical robotics would be advantageous.
Applicants should be highly self-motivated and have excellent communication skills in written and spoken English as well as the ability to work independently. The appointee will work within Dr. Ka-Wai Kwok’s research group, and participate in collaborative multidisciplinary research related, but not limited to soft robotic system for MRI-guided transoral laser microsurgery. The appointee will participate in large-scale collaborative research project with world renowned institutes for medical robot system development.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.
