Job Description

The Department of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering (CPE) at the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) seeks applicants for full-time faculty opening in Petroleum Engineering with appointment at the assistant or associate professor level to begin August 2022. The successful candidate is expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses, develop internally and/or externally-funded research programs, participate in student advising, and perform university and professional services. A PhD in petroleum engineering is required, and preference will be given to those whose specialty is in the area of Drilling Engineering. Recognized for its academic excellence, the UAEU consistently ranks among the top “Best Universities” in the region. All engineering programs, including the Petroleum Engineering Program, are accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET). Minimum Qualification

Applicants must have an earned doctorate in Petroleum Engineering. The ability to teach undergraduate courses is a must. Industrial and professional experience is a plus.

3. Ability to develop and effectively teach a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses
4. Strong communication skills
