The Faculty of Arts, Design and Humanities has an excellent reputation as a leading Higher Education provider of creative disciplines and for academic English teaching. These programmes are taught by internationally acclaimed and award-winning academics in the UK – and we are now seeking to extend our reputation through our appointments and campus in Dubai. The MA Fashion Management with Marketing is taught jointly by the Faculty of Arts, Design and Humanities – and the Faculty of Business and Law.

The Role Requirements

We are seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer to support the development, management and delivery of our MA Fashion Management with Marketing at DMU Dubai. You will be joining an enthusiastic team in establishing this exciting new programme as a sector-leading, regional centre for excellence. You will lead on building professional networks, engaging stakeholders and playing an active role in establishing a programme community for students.

Programme Leader: From the applications to this post, we will be seeking candidates with proven experience of leadership and academic programme management who could become Programme Leader for MA Fashion Management with Marketing.

The Person

You will be educated to Masters degree level (or higher), and have experience of teaching and assessment in Higher Education. You will have proven fashion industry experience and knowledge in at least three key aspects of the core Fashion Management with Marketing curriculum; 1) Ethical and sustainable fashion (essential), 2) global fashion management including sourcing strategies, supply chain management and quality standards, 3) fashion promotion and marketing, 4) fashion retail, brands and designers.

You must be passionate about teaching the next generation of fashion managers and marketeers to challenge their future industry to tackle the climate emergency and achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
