About the opportunity

Te Kura o te Mātauranga, the Institute of Education are seeking to appoint a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer to support the design, development, and delivery of our strong>Human Development programmes.

For appointment at Lecturer level, you will possess a relevant doctoral qualification or be enrolled in a doctoral qualification. For appointment at Senior Lecturer level, you will have a doctoral qualification and have a proven research publication record.

The Institute of Education offers undergraduate, graduate/postgraduate, peak body-accredited professional preparation programmes in initial teacher education (with early childhood, primary and secondary education endorsements), counselling, educational psychology and an honours degree in speech and language therapy.

Since 2010 we have been contracted by the Ministry of Education to offer a Postgraduate Diploma in Specialist Teaching with six specialisations as part of a national workforce development strategy in inclusive education. The Institute maintains two College research centres in mathematics education and equity through education.
