Tasks: Support of teaching in the field of process systems engineering (process analysis, modeling, simulation and optimization). Analysis and development of computer-aided methods for the design of modular process plants; investigation and development of modular process control and safety concepts. The main focus of the employment activity is on the field of closed-loop and open-loop control of process plants. Research results will be coordinated with project partners from industry and academia and will be published at international conferences and in recognized journals.

Requirements: above-average university degree in the field of process engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, physics or mathematics; enthusiasm for science as well as solid mathematical knowledge to analyze and solve complex interrelationships in the field of process systems engineering; sound experience in programming with MATLAB®; independent goal- and solution-oriented approach, inter- and multidisciplinary thinking, integrative and cooperative behavior with excellent communication and social skills; confident command of written and spoken English.
