Outreach Coordinator, UCD

Applications are invited for a Temporary 12 months post of a Outreach Coordinator within UCD School of Chemistry, Centre for BioNano Interactions (CBNI) The Centre for BioNano Interactions (CBNI) is a leading European Centre for BioNano Interaction science, and draws together specialists from international Universities, institutes, and companies. The centre is a multi-disciplinary platform for nano engineered biology, nano therapeutics, nano diagnostics, and nano safety and is currently pioneering many of the new techniques and key developments in the arena. The Centre requires a Project Outreach Co-ordinator and Business Liaison who will support the Assistant Project Manager in the management of the CALIN operation ensuring operational objectives are communicated and fully engaged with; planning, organising and monitoring new business leads; intervening as required to ensure project progress remains on track and all objectives and outputs are attained in a timely manner. The post-holder will aid in the management of the administrative aspects of the project as well as assist the scientific team in the coordination-related aspects of research activity delivery and sustainability. The co-ordinator will work with the CBNI research workflow coordinator to guide company collaborations, ensuring that the work remains on target. They will be responsible for all record keeping on, company engagements, project activity and results against targets to assist with the production of quarterly reports and paperwork to support financial claims. The co-ordinator will assist with the preparation all financial claims, handle audits, monitor the operation's budget, and assist the project manager. The co-ordinator will be part of the CBNI team who will work closely with academic leads and project delivery team to provide a blend of administrative and marketing support. They will deal with administrative tasks and organisation of all management and industry meetings. In addition to general operational admin, this individual will also handle company database administration; maintain and update the CALIN website content; manage social media content; organise network events and dissemination activities (including promotions, flyers, and leaflets). The CALIN project is part-funded by the ERDF through the Ireland Wales Programme 2014-2020. Salary Range: €38,000 - €40,000 per annum* ** * Salary offered will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
