Applications are invited for a permanent post as Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Experimental Archaeology and Material Culture within the UCD School of Archaeology. UCD seeks to make a permanent appointment at Lecturer/Assistant Professor grade to support and develop all aspects of the research, teaching, and public engagement activities carried out by UCD Centre for Experimental Archaeology and Material Culture. UCD School of Archaeology's Centre for Experimental Archaeology and Material Culture (CEAMC) is a globally unique, all-of-university, campus facility for teaching, research, and public engagement in experimental archaeology and material culture studies. UCD Centre for Experimental Archaeology & Material Culture (CEAMC) is an officially recognised UCD Academic Centre. A proven track record in experimental archaeological teaching, research and public engagement is essential. In addition to the criteria set out in the UCD Development Framework for Faculty, the successful candidate will need to demonstrate a mastery of the full range of practical and technical skills required to undertake successful teaching and research in experimental archaeology. The successful candidate must also be able to demonstrate an ability to champion the use of experimental archaeology nationally and internationally, through research collaborations, presentations, outreach initiatives, etc. In keeping with the School's full range of academic activities, successful candidates will be expected to participate fully in providing high quality and innovative undergraduate and graduate teaching, build a personal research profile, and contribute fully to the efficient running and day-to-day life of the School of Archaeology. It is anticipated that interviews will take place in the week commencing 6th June 2022 and that the position will commence on 1st September 2022.
