Job Description

Emirates Center for Mobility Research at UAE University (located in Alain, UAE) is establishing a “Driving Simulator” lab, and seeking for a highly qualified individual with excellent programming and research skills to develop/modify unity 3D driving scenarios, and also has data analysis skills to conduct research using data collected from simulated driving experiments to analyze drivers’ behavior. The “Driving Simulator Specialist” will be responsible of troubleshooting, maintaining, operating and modifying the driving simulator hardware and software, and will be part of the research team conducting research in the driving simulator lab.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or any related field.

The degree condition may be waived according to relevant experience.

• Significant experience in Unity development
• Significant experience in programming with Python or C#.
• Proficient in English
• Background on research, statistics and data analysis Responsibilities
• Troubleshooting, maintaining, operating and modifying the driving simulator hardware and software
• Integrating different sensor components within the driving simulator for data collection
• Traveling between Abu Dhabi and Alain once/twice a week to maintain the two branches of the lab
• Understanding client research requirements and convert them into driving scenarios for conducting experiments
• Cleaning, preprocessing, and analyzing drivers’ data
• Drafting reports, presentations, research papers for research dissemination and reporting results to clients

Expected Salary & Benefits

full-time contract for two years. The salary will be 7,000 Dhs – 8,000 Dhs per month + health insurance.
