2023 McKenzie Postdoctoral Fellowships scheme

The McKenzie Postdoctoral Fellowships Program attracts outstanding Australian and international early career researchers to the University of Melbourne, selecting recent doctoral graduates based on their potential to build and lead interdisciplinary innovative research activities across Faculties and Schools. These researchers join a leading and lively academic environment that is internationally engaged, public-spirited, and with outstanding areas of research strength.

  • The University will fund a three-year appointment commencing at Level A.6 in the University salary band ($95,179) plus superannuation.
  • Fellowships will commence between 1 January 2023 and 30 June 2023.
  • Fellows will receive additional project funding of $25,000, to be spent over the term of their Fellowship, and lasting links to the global network of talented McKenzie Fellows alumni.
  • Prospective applicants must discuss their interest in the program with the relevant faculty at the University of Melbourne, prior to submitting their application.
