Academic Faculty for Petroleum Engineering Technology, Abu Dhabi Polytechnic, UAE

Abu Dhabi Polytechnic (ADP) was established by the Institute of Applied Technology in 2010 to offer as a dual educational-professional training system with multiple high-tech specializations to produce technologists and engineers to serve the UAE industrial workforce required for Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030. Specifically, the polytechnic vision is to create skilled professional technologists and engineers capable of performing at the highest international standards to build a knowledge-based economy in the UAE.

AD Poly Petroleum engineering program integrates theoretical knowledge with labs and on-campus practice and implements On-Job-Training (OJT) to strengthen students’ practical skills. In addition, students spend a few months in the industry during their OJT program which is an excellent opportunity for them to get exposed to real life workplace. The program guarantees the graduates a prestigious job towards gaining an accredited (by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the UAE) Applied Bachelor in Petroleum Engineering Technology or Oil and Gas Process Engineering Technology with Higher Diploma as a possible higher exit. In addition to Bachelor degree, students graduate from this program with, at least, two international certificates in different disciplines such as: Health and Safety at Work (HSW); and Petroleum Drilling. Our curricula reflect adherence to established national and international accreditation standards.  

We are looking to appoint an Academic Faculty for the Petroleum Engineering Technology Dept.  This is an Open Rank subject to the relevant working experience & publications in the reputable journals like Scopus or equivalent database or Scholarly Publications, holding minimum a PhD in Chemical Engineering. Consideration will be given to only those who have a distinguished record in teaching and Industrial experiences and have clear vision in research relevant to the mission of the Petroleum Engineering Division at Abu Dhabi Polytechnic.   Excellent Oral and written English is required at the level of Academic IELTS band 7 standard and demonstrated ability to enhance learning through effective integration of ICT into professional practice

• Experience in supervising graduate students research projects is desirable
• Experience in upstream and/or downstream industry is a definite plus.
