Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow (PDF)/Assistant Research Officer (ARO) in the School of Public Health (Ref.: 512138), to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.

Applicants should possess a doctoral degree by research or equivalent in public health, social sciences, or related disciplines, with at least one year's experience in community-based research, public health research or population sciences research. They should have knowledge of community health promotion, and/or experience in the application of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in research. They should also have the ability to work independently as well as in a multidisciplinary team; the ability to collaborate with external parties including academics, social service groups and politicians; and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The appointee will work for the Jockey Club SMART Family-Link Project, with the aim to promote family well-being by leveraging ICT for innovative family services.  He/She will coordinate research design; liaise with community parties and institutions; plan, develop and conduct community-based interventions and training programmes for local social service practitioners and professionals; facilitate the collection of big data; oversee data collection and management; write scientific publications and reports; supervise research staff members; and perform other duties as assigned.
