Assistant Professor

Requirements for applicants:

  • Completed PhD in Philology (Romance Languages), or related area of expertise
  • proficiency in the Spanish and/or Italian language (level C1 or higher)
  • proficiency in English (B2)
  • ability of independent research and publication work
  • initiatives aimed at the development of the study programme
  • a positive approach of the applicant to pedagogic and administrative activities and the ability to integrate scientific and pedagogic work
  • previous publication activity welcome
  • previous pedagogic experience welcome
  • perspective of an upcoming habilitation procedure welcome

Expected scope of work:

  • delivering lectures and seminar classes for the study programme Mediterranean Studies
  • independent research activities, including the publication and presentation of research results, in the field of Romance Languages, Classical Philology, History of Romance Literatures, Theory of Literature
  • activity in obtaining grant funds
  • promotion of the study programme
  • supervision of qualification theses
