Your new role

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Lecturer to join the School of Management and Marketing’s People, Culture and Organisations discipline team! We are seeking to attract PhD qualified academics with extensive teaching experience across subjects relating to HR Management and Employee Relations and/or Career Studies (including career choice, career development, and career sustainability).

The successful candidates will have a solid record of accomplishment in learning and teaching, and experience in leading a team of sessional colleagues for the delivery of a large unit.  Experience in coordinating units across multiple locations and/or platforms will also be highly valued.

Essential Criteria

  • A doctoral qualification in relevant discipline (or equivalent accreditation and professional standing for Teaching Focused Clinical Professional role).
  • Demonstrated high level teaching skills and a demonstrated reflective approach to teaching delivery.
  • A strong understanding of pedagogical theory and contemporary educational practice relevant to the discipline.
  • An emerging record of contribution to scholarship in teaching.
  • Demonstrated experience / capacity to undertake unit coordination.
  • Demonstrated high level communication and interpersonal and organisational skills with a commitment to the development of a collegial and supportive working environment and the ability to interact with students and staff with cross cultural sensitivity.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the application of relevant and applicable policies, procedures and legislation in the day-to-day performance of the functions of this position.
