About the Faculty of Health Sciences:

The Faculty of Health Sciences comprises three schools: Allied Health, Behavioural and Health Sciences and Nursing, Midwifery and Paramedicine There are currently approximately 14,000 students (EFTSL) and 530 (FTE) staff in the faculty under the disciplines comprising occupational therapy, speech pathology, social work, exercise science, exercise physiology, nutrition science, biomedical science, nursing, midwifery, paramedicine, physiotherapy, psychology and public health. The Faculty is represented across seven ACU campuses and it's current research priorities focus on Cardiovascular Disease and Metabolism, Health Services Research, Nutrition, Sports Performance and Rehabilitation, Psychology and Mental Health. About the National School of Behavioural and Health Sciences:

The National School of Behavioural and Health Sciences is located on seven of the University's campuses and is currently responsible for delivery of programs in six professional disciplines across Biomedical Science, Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, Nutrition Science, Public Health and Psychology. About the role:

As the Psychology Placement Coordinator, you'll make a significant contribution to the academic and administrative activities of the national School of Behavioural and Health Sciences, with key responsibilities in the ongoing teaching and management of professional practicum in the discipline of Psychology, with particular focus in the Master of Psychology (Educational & Developmental) program.

More specifically the role entails:

• Maintaining and building relationships and pathways for the practicum requirements of postgraduate psychology students and undertake associated administration.
• Contributing to the provision of student teaching and provide support for learning, development and professional placement to enhance graduate outcomes.
• Supporting student engagement with learning activities and contribute to the supervision of postgraduate clinical practice in the Melbourne Psychology Clinic.
• Review, improve and implement course curriculum on a national basis.

You will need to have:

• A postgraduate qualification in Psychology and professional recognition of the following: a. Registration as a psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA) b. Endorsement in Educational and Developmental Psychology; and c. Approved by PsyBA to provide supervision.
• Evidence of quality student-centred teaching and/or case supervision at a tertiary level in an area relevant to professional psychology.
• Evidence of effective unit or course administration at a tertiary level or equivalent administrative or project management skills.
• Demonstrated understanding of the nexus between teaching and research in approaches to learning and teaching, and to research and scholarship.
• Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to relevant ethical, legal, and professional codes (e.g., APS Code of Ethics).
• Relevant experience in the provision of psychology services in relevant settings.

This position requires a Working with Children Check (WWCC) and/or Working with Vulnerable People Check (WWVP) (ACT only).

Total remuneration valued to $123,584 - $145,913 total rem (pro rata) pa, including salary component $104,430 - $123,298 (pro rata) pa (Academic Level B), employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
