Research Associate

To provide high quality research support and undertake internationally competitive research aimed at publication thereby contributing to the academic and research mission of the University. Ability to present research plans and findings in a convincing style, both in oral and written modes of communication.

Operational Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to work on the following important aspect of the project-  Selection mechanisms for crowdsensing vs. IoT nodes, considering faulty and malicious behaviors, for event detection and localization. To accomplish this task, the candidate is expected to –

1. Study the challenges and advantages of crowdsensing and IoT nodes.
2. Devise models for both type of nodes.
3. Propose an AI-based selection mechanism which incorporates crowdsensing and IoT nodes.
4. Incorporate malicious and faulty behavior in the selection mechanism.
5. Devise a robust method of selection for event detection and localization.

In addition, the candidate will lead the project from start to finish. The candidate will also be expected to publish in reputed journals and present in internationally renowned conferences.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science or related areas.
