Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the School of Chinese Medicine (Ref.: 511775), to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree and proven experience in Molecular and Cellular Neurology, Neuropharmacology, Chemical Biology and/or Chinese Medicine. Experience in experimental animal models of stroke and neurodegenerative disease, and/or clinical investigation would be an advantage. Applicants should be an outstanding and self-motivated researcher with proven research track record in international publications; have a good command of spoken and written English and Chinese and be able to work independently. The appointee will join a multidisciplinary research group to conduct studies on drug discovery and explore molecular mechanisms of Chinese Herbal Medicine for stroke and neurodegenerative diseases; assist in laboratory research activities; and have the opportunity to collaborate with scientists from HKU, Mainland China and North America.
