Join our team!

In the School of Health and Social Care we are expanding the breadth of our taught post-graduate and international programme portfolios to meet the increasing demand from our stakeholders.  To support the delivery of these programmes, we are seeking to appoint an ambitious experienced academic to the role of Lecturer in Health and Social care Sciences.

The role

As a member of the Health & Social Care Sciences Subject Group, you will be joining a vibrant academic team who work with other colleagues across the school as part of a supportive, collaborative interprofessional community. You will be working with expert enthusiastic colleagues who are committed to providing an outstanding student experience on our programmes, at all academic levels. As part of your role you will teach, assess, support students as a personal tutor and lead modules and/or programmes in the School. We are particularly keen to hear from you if you are experienced in co-ordinating post-graduate dissertation supervision. You will be expected to engage in your own post-doctoral research and knowledge exchange to support the development of the subject area within the school and to inform the quality of our taught programmes. This includes writing grant applications and producing high quality publications.

You will be supported in the role to further develop your own academic career in your identified academic pathway (Professional Practice, Learning & Teaching, Research or Business & Enterprise) through access to a range of resources available to all University staff and through a coaching approach to personal development. We work in an inclusive way and can support flexible and remote working. We will also consider applications for part-time time working, job sharing and secondments.

If you are excited at the prospect of joining our fantastic interprofessional team as a lecturer in Health and Social Care Sciences, then we’d love to receive an application from you!
