Curtin School of Allied Health
Curtin’s School of Allied Health offers professionally recognised courses in Exercise and Sport Science, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Social Work, and Speech Pathology. We also operate specialist clinics at Curtin Perth, Challis Community Primary School and Curtin Clinics Cockburn, where our students can hone their skills while delivering professional services to the community. These positions will undertake all aspects of work, with particular emphasis on clinical expertise and input into fieldwork teaching in Physiotherapy.
In these roles you will….
- Provide clinical expertise into the Physiotherapy discipline, specifically in the areas of neurology, acute inpatient care, paediatrics, disability and orthopaedics.
- Be able to teach across all physiotherapy courses including entry level and clinical masters.
- Adhere to the course accreditation requirements
- Undertake a range of teaching activities including unit coordination, delivering interactive and innovative learning opportunities.
- Work collaboratively within the School and engage with a range of internal and external stakeholders
- Undertake high quality scholarship and / or research projects.

We are looking for someone with…
We are looking for candidates that can provide critical clinical expertise into our physiotherapy courses in a range of Physiotherapy units. Clinical physiotherapists with expertise in neurology, acute inpatient hospital care, orthopaedics, disability and / or paediatrics will be highly regarded.
- Doctoral qualification in a relevant discipline (or equivalent accreditation and professional standing for Teaching Focused Clinical role)
- Demonstrated experience planning learning activities, units and/or courses that reflect a command of the field, founded on research-based pedagogical practices.
- Demonstrated experience conducting learning activities online, distributed or face-to-face as appropriate, which stimulate and foster student learning.
- Ability to provide support to the course team in the development of curricula and resources
- Ability to work independently, show initiative and work collaboratively with demonstrated team building skills.
- High-level interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
- Effective listening and strong interpersonal skills.
Teaching and Research role only
- An established record of research outputs/creative works in high quality refereed academic journals/outlets consistent with the discipline.
- A history of successful competitive grant applications.
