The School of Health and Life Sciences (HLS) is a multidisciplinary School, with a diverse range of programmes delivered at our Ayr, Dumfries, Lanarkshire, London and Paisley campuses to a combined total of around 6000 students.

Opportunities have arisen for lecturers to join the School, where teaching and research are at the heart of all the School’s activities. The ability to contribute to module and programme development will be integral to the posts, along with engagement in wider academic activities such as research, consultancy and CPD. Undertaking research, development and/ or scholarship to enhance teaching will be encouraged. 

The successful candidates will join a progressive team of academics currently supporting delivery of our wide range of health-related modules and professional programmes within the Division of Midwifery & Specialist Nursing, inclusive of: post-registration community programmes; MSc Advanced Clinical Practitioner; MSc Health Studies; and pre-registration Midwifery. Professional registration with NMC or HCPC is required. It may be possible to consider fixed term and/or part time hours.
