Job Description

The candidate will work at the Centre for Advanced 2D Materials (CA2DM) at the National University of Singapore in a highly international environment with state-of-the-art equipment and facilities. The candidate will assist and conduct experimental work in synthesis, functionalisation and characterisation of 2D materials.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist and conduct experimental work in synthesis and functionalisation of 2D materials
• Assist the aspects related with materials' testing and characterisation
• Prepare and present laboratory reports
• Carry out laboratory management and administrative duties (e.g., procurement, inventory, maintenance, safety, etc)

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry or equivalent from an internationally recognised university
• Hands-on laboratory experience in wet chemistry laboratory is necessary
• Experience in at least one of the following sub-fields: 
  1. functionalization of 2D materials
  2. organic synthesis
  3. nanomaterials synthesis
  4. nanomaterials characterisation
• Knowledge and experience in material characterisation techniques (e.g. Raman, FTIR, AFM, SEM, TGA, XRD, etc) will be preferred
• Prior experience of working in cleanroom will be an added advantage
