Applications are invited for a Permanent post of a Technical Officer within UCD School of Chemical and Bioprocess Engineering

The School of Chemical and Bioprocess Engineering at University College Dublin (UCD) is the largest and oldest chemical engineering degree granting School in Ireland. From a degree perspective, it offers a number of successful programmes including the BE & ME in Chemical and Bioprocess Engineering. In addition, the School offers a number of full and part time MEngSc taught-postgraduate programmes.

The School is seeking to appoint a Technical Officer to work on the delivery and development of the School's undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programmes. In addition, the Technical Officer will play a key role in support of the School's research programmes.

The post of Technical Officer will work (in consultation) with staff, postgraduate and undergraduate students in the design, construction, installation and repair of laboratory equipment and apparatus, and in various other associated support activities, as required.

The Technical Officer will undertake other duties, commensurate with the nature and grade of the post, as directed by the Head of School or nominee.

95 Technical Officer\2013 Salary scale: €40,015 - €52,985 per annum

Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.
