Applications are invited for appointment as Temporary Clinical Associate Professor of Practice/Clinical Assistant Professor of Practice in Gastroenterology and Hepatology in the Department of Medicine (Ref.: 511659), to commence as soon as possible for one year.

Applicants should possess a medical qualification registrable with the Medical Council of Hong Kong, a higher qualification in internal medicine, and a higher professional qualification of Specialty Fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology of the relevant Hong Kong colleges under the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine or equivalent.  They should have extensive experience in managing patients with acute and chronic medical problems in Gastroenterology and Hepatology; and demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in clinical services and training, and accomplishment in teaching of medical undergraduates and organization, and development of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.  They should also be fluent in English and Cantonese, and preferably Putonghua, although teaching, research and professional activities are conducted in English.  The appointee will provide regular clinical services and patient care at the University’s teaching hospitals; engage in undergraduate teaching; conduct high-quality scholarly research; and undertake administrative work in the Department, Faculty and University.  Information about the Department can be obtained at http://www.hku.hk/medicine/.  Those who have responded to the previous advertisement (Ref.: 504520) need not re-apply.
