About You

The Research Assistant will work with a larger research team. The Research Assistant is required to undertake research activities in line with the project scope. The position will carry out independent and/or team research. The Research Assistant's role is primarily to plan and undertake high quality research to address a specific set of research questions and objects as defined by the project scope.

To be successful in this position, you'll have as a minimum:

  • Demonstrated knowledge or experience of housing quality and performance in Australia.
  • Demonstrated knowledge or experience of housing quality/performance assessment tools.
  • Demonstrated knowledge or experience of residential retrofit.
  • Ability to undertake high quality literature reviews.
  • Demonstrated experience of planning, conducting and analysis semi-structured interviews industry and policy stakeholders.
  • Ability to identify and analyses large data sets relating to housing quality and performance.
  • Ability to produce high quality reports and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills appropriate for interacting with academic staff and industry, together with a strong commitment to teamwork and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Desirable attributes include:

  • Demonstrated knowledge or experience of or with housing quality and performance of international housing.
  • Ability to undertake cost-benefit analysis

Qualifications

Mandatory: PhD or equivalent in relevant field
