Postdoctoral Fellow, College of Engineering
Applications are invited for the post of Postdoctoral position with the research project on brine desalination and CO2 capture. The initial appointment is for one year with the possibility of extension for up to two years. The project is a collaboration between The ADNOC Refining – RCD and the Chemical and Petroleum Engineering Department, COE, United Arab Emirates University. The aim of this project is to follow and evaluate the experimental and operational process at pilot plant scale. The successful candidate will work closely with the projects’ PI to implement the research, supervise research assistants and PhD students, and analyzing, writing and publishing the research findings. The salary commensurate with training and experience, and is tax-free.

PhD degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
Experience with brine desalination and CO2 capturing processes based on the Solvay and Modified Solvay process.
- Excellent analytical thinking, records and raw data analysis.
- Excellent simulation skills in ANSYS/ COMSOL.
- Problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Good interpersonal and team working skills
