About the role

The School of Health offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in nursing, midwifery, paramedicine, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, speech pathology, work health and safety, and research.

The Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor, Paramedicine - Discipline Leader will undertake teaching and assessment of undergraduate and post graduate students within Paramedicine, providing leadership in the development and delivery of courses. You will also undertake additional responsibilities associated with the position of Discipline Lead.

About you

Reporting to the Deputy Dean, School of Health, you will have excellent interpersonal, oral and written communications skills and an ability to relate well to a diverse range of students. You will have enthusiasm for teaching and learning that is accompanied by a good teaching record and research experience. Finally, you will possess the ability to work both independently and as part of a team as well as capability to supervise honours and research postgraduate students.

You will:

  • provide leadership in the development, teaching, coordinating, and moderating courses;
  • make a significant contribution to the research activity in the School of Health;
  • contribute to the administrative and research activities within the School of Health;
  • participate in team projects and various committee meetings as required; and
  • supervise students undertaking project courses, honours programs and research higher degrees.
