The post holder will be responsible to the Senior Technical Operations Manager and will be expected to support the research and experimental activities associated with the Engineering Clean Room and related laboratories. The post holder will proactively engage with academic, postdoctoral research and technical support colleagues, as well as students, within and external to the Department, including industry, to ensure that activities are undertaken to an appropriate standard.

The successful applicant will:

  • Engage with users to support their work, including providing specialist training, measurement and fabrication support. Provide expert assistance in the design and implementation of new measurement capabilities (e.g. structural, electronic, and optical) and manufacturing processes (e.g. electrospinning, slot-die coating).

Ensure business continuity in Clean Room operations and associated experimental activity.
