Alliance University invites applications for its School of Business from highly accomplished for the position of Associate Professor in Marketing. The applicant must have a strong academic background and at least eight years of experience in teaching and research at a reputed institution.
Job Title: Associate Professor – Marketing
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Be instrumental in helping students secure career opportunities in areas of Marketing, Digital marketing, Marketing analysis and Brand Management.
- Supervise, advise, and mentoring teaching students in areas of marketing related subjects
- Be instrumental in challenging the way students think, learn, and develop their understanding of academic disciplines.
- Facilitate students' understanding of customer perceptions, buyer personas, Digital Marketing, International Marketing, Sales & Distribution and Strategic Management.
- Develop core curriculum and deliver course material effectively.
- Update subject knowledge and keep a tab on the latest trends and happening to share updated information with the students.
- Publishing research, attending conferences, and delivering presentations to build a strong research network.
- To undertake research, either as an individual or with colleagues, of a level and quality that will result in regular publication in top ranked international journals.
- Writing proposals to secure research funding.
- Organizing seminars and events to interact with established industry professionals.
- Review methods and teaching materials to make recommendations for improvements.

- Ph.D. in Marketing or related areas from a top-notch institution.
- Demonstrated interest and competence in establishing courses and teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
- A strong desire to publish in prestigious journals with the possibility to get outside funding for research initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience & proven track record in teaching to contribute to the PG / UG courses in Marketing Management, Consumer and Brand Insight, Strategy and Forecasting, Modelling, and Marketing Strategy and including the supervision of bachelor’s and master’s theses.
- Great interpersonal skills with an effective understanding of pedagogical tools and processes.
- Ability to work in teams.
- Expertise and experience in Consumer Behaviour and Neuro Marketing, Advertising and Integrated Brand Promotion, Marketing Analytics and Models, Marketing Research, and Digital Marketing and Digital Ecosystem.
- Doctoral degree in Marketing or in related areas from a top-notch institution with strong research and academic background.
- Minimum 8 years of teaching and research experience with renowned institutions as Assistant Professor in higher learnings.
- Minimum 7 research publications in highly reputed journals.
- A good academic record, with a Ph.D. degree in the concerned / allied / relevant disciplines.
- A Master’s degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale, wherever the grading system is followed).
