The University of Lincoln is looking to the future where we serve and develop our local, national and international communities by creating purposeful knowledge & research, confident & creative graduates and a dynamic & engaged workforce. We will achieve this through a culture of enterprise and innovation. We are recruiting for a Research Administrator to strengthen our researcher development team.

Research & Enterprise is a central professional support department which works with staff, industry, external partners, students and graduates to drive:

  • A dynamic research environment
  • Increased levels of graduate employment and progression
  • Innovation & productivity levels throughout our region.

We use all these elements together and separately to build wide and deep external partnerships, further developing our role as an ‘active anchor institution’.

The post holder will be part of the Researcher Development team, working to facilitate and deliver the team’s  provision of development activity and support for academic colleagues, early career researchers and postgraduate researchers, as well as other institutional activity in support of the Vitae Concordat to Support the Career Development of Researchers. The post will support activity delivered by the Doctoral School, the Lincoln Institute for Advanced Studies (LIAS) and the university’s Research Themes.

The post holder will be expected to use their judgement to deal with a variety of queries on a daily basis and work closely with a range of research focused roles across the institution. They will need a keen eye for attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. The post holder will also need to be proactive, be able to use their own initiative and work with minimal supervision.  The role will play an integral part in supporting development of the research environment, and ensuring delivery of the university’s research strategy.

For more information or an informal discussion about the post, please contact Lauren Blackwell (lblackwell@lincoln.ac.uk).
