This is an excellent opportunity for an early career professional to gain large-scale event organisation experience while working within a busy Events Team delivering hybrid events across three campuses.

We are a large, inclusive university committed to delivering our vision of Education Without Boundaries. We have a supportive, friendly and dynamic working environment and are looking for a talented Events Assistant to work closely with the Event Manager.

As Events Coordination Assistant you will be helping to organise and deliver Open Days, virtual webinars, campus tours, social media live tours, recruitment fairs and applicant experience days to support student recruitment and conversion.

You’ll gain practical experience of project management tools to plan and deliver large events and exposure to leading elements for on-the-day delivery which will include briefing and managing teams of student ambassadors.

In additional to handling logistics and administration, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the delivery of event collateral and marketing materials to continually improve our visitors event experience. You will receive training on digital event platforms and CRM systems to set up and coordinate event bookings and communications to increase event conversion and support virtual event delivery.

Requirements for this Events Assistant position

  • Previous event management experience (e.g conferences, awards, webinars or similar)
  • Highly articulate, confident and outgoing
  • Highly organised and hard working
  • Confident with data and analysing 
  • Able to multitask
  • Willing to travel for recruitment fairs and across campus sites 
  • Flexibly including evenings and occasional weekends
