Under the leadership of our new Vice-Chancellor, Professor Martin Jones, we are embarking on the next exciting phase of our strategic development and in readiness for this we are making a number of high-profile appointments including to the role of Executive Director Marketing, Communications & PR.  Reporting to the Pro Vice Chancellor, Education and as a member of the University Executive Board, the Executive Director will develop and lead initiatives and activities across the marketing, communications and PR functions assisting the University to achieve the objectives of our ‘Towards 2030’ strategic plan. From repositioning our brand identity and market position, to driving multi-channel marketing plans with a particular digital emphasis, to developing deeper connections with important local, regional and national stakeholders, and supporting our commercial offer, this is a critical role for Staffordshire.

Candidates will have substantial experience in developing broad-based contemporary marketing plans in higher education (or a related industry) that are data driven and make full use of digital and other media channels.  You must bring excellent leadership and management credentials, combined with a creative side that establishes you as the brand and marketing custodian of the University.  You must be able to evidence that you are committed to the values and ethos of Staffordshire, building strong partnerships with colleagues across the academic and professional services communities, with a relentless focus upon evaluating the impact of interventions, in order to raise the profile of the University, drive student recruitment and forge a strong identity for the University, locally, regionally, nationally and internationally.
