Lecturers & Reader / Senior Lecturer in Physics
The Department of Physics is seeking to recruit three new lecturers, with one at the Reader or Senior Lecturer level, in the Theory & Simulation of Condensed Matter (TSCM) research group. The successful candidates will help in the delivery and development of high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programmes and undertake original research in Condensed Matter Physics. The TSCM group has a broad remit of research, including significant expertise in correlated many-body systems. Research activities span from quantum chemistry and the atomistic modelling of molecules and materials, to dynamical phenomena in quantum many-body systems. We are looking to both enhance and diversify these research activities.
The Department of Physics at King’s College London is diverse, international and friendly with a positive atmosphere of collaboration and support between research groups. We offer a welcoming environment and welcome applications from applicants of all backgrounds.
The successful candidates must have developed a creative, original and distinctive research vision, a high-quality publication record and should have the potential to secure external research funding. We are looking for researchers with the qualities to build a team, to function within the group and with the ability to provide high-quality teaching. We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate creativity, enthusiasm for group, intergroup and interdepartmental collaboration and qualities which will help to maintain and enhance the culture of the Department of Physics.
